Built on a steep hillside with twenty foot boulder and rock outcrops, the open pavilions are strategically located to afford privacy to each of the guests, while opening to the expansive ocean panoramas. The rocks are integrated into indoor / outdoor terraces and spaces, forming side walls and ledges. The trellises and villas cantilever dramatically between the stone landscape, allowing cool air to flow through the canyons of shaded tree canopies, ventilating and micro-climatically chilling the pavilions. Built of natural stone, wood, and sand stuccos, the buildings are woven into the landscape, visually blending into the island. |
